Bride Kylee Patrick and groom Jay McGowen chose the breathtaking Windwood Equestrian for their stylish wedding. We love Kylee’s gown and veil, gorgeous flowers, and just the comfortable, yet enchanting atmosphere Windwood Equestrian created for their special day. We asked Kylee to share her wedding style.
How did you choose your gown?
I didn’t even know what I wanted! I went to a few places and just didn’t fall in love with anything. Then, I went to Ivory and White. They had two gorgeous dresses- one was full lace and the other was full tulle. I couldn’t decide between either. Then the sweet lady helping me said they had one that was half lace and half tulle and it was perfect! She called it the child of the two! It was a strapless, sweetheart neckline with lace on top and a full tulle skirt that had the lace incorporated into it.
Tell us about your veil.
It was tulle that also had lace around the edges. It matched my dress perfectly.
How did you choose your bridesmaids’ dresses?
After buying several bridesmaids dresses for my other friends’ weddings that I never wore again (sorry, ladies), I decided I wanted my gals to pick something they liked and would wear again. I think they all came together beautifully.
What did the groom and groomsmen wear?
They wore grey suits and purple ties, but my sweet groom wore a bowtie that he just had to have!
Tell us about your flowers.
Christopher Confero did a superb job! The reds, purples and pinks looked lovely together. That may have been my favorite detail about the wedding- my bouquet.
Any unique details?
Since it is the South, we sat up a lounge so people could watch the football games that day. The bridesmaids sat around cheering in their matching robes.
